The Cape Charles Historic District Guidelines have come under scrutiny over the last few years. Are they appropriate? Are they valid? Are they too vague? Are they inconsistent? Are they too strict?
On September 8, 2022 at 6:30, the town will hold an ‘Open Discussion’ on the guidelines. The event will take place at the Cape Charles Civic Center, 500 Tazewell Avenue.
The Commonwealth Preservation Group has been reworking the guidelines and will offer a presentation prior to the discussion. Now is a good time to see new changes, and more importantly, to voice your opinion on the draft guidelines.
The public forum will be streamed to Facebook for interested parties unable to attend in person, but viewers will not be able to actively participate in the discussion.
