  1. A very dangerous contributing factor to all of the problems at this intersection is the existence of the railroad tracks. Buses are required by law to stop for the rail line DESPITE THE FACT that the line is no longer in use. Buses must stop until the line is legally declared abandoned. Most locals don’t know that, and tourists rolling through the area certainly only wish to maintain their 60 m.p.h. speed. In order to maximize the safety level of this area, the Va. DOT needs to have the rail line declared ABANDONED and remove any and all left over debris from the Bay Coast Line.

  2. On her many trips dashing across two lanes of traffic and into the meager left turn lane into 184, Scotiagirl has feared more for her life than ever she has due to Covid-19. And, yes, please remove the tracks, the signaling devices and whatever other vestiges there may be from the glorious days of old.
