Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a seminar, βA Walk through the Plant Kingdomβ. The free 90-minute seminar will be held 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5 in Room 113 of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29316 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Janet Rochester will give an informal survey of the classification, variety, and life of plants; it will reflect recent changes in the taxonomic classification of living things and the renaming of plant families.
Rochester retired to the Shore in 2004 after a career that included teaching Chemistry, scientific abstracting, and radar systems engineering.
These seminars are occasionally rescheduled on short notice. Prospective attendees are
urged to check the Seminarβs website (www.SciPhi.org) shortly before a scheduled date.
