Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled a seminar, “A Walk through the Plant Kingdom”. The free 90-minute seminar will be held 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 5 in Room 113 of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29316 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Janet Rochester will give an informal survey of the classification, variety, and life of plants; it will reflect recent changes in the taxonomic classification of living things and the renaming of plant families.
Rochester retired to the Shore in 2004 after a career that included teaching Chemistry, scientific abstracting, and radar systems engineering.
These seminars are occasionally rescheduled on short notice. Prospective attendees are
