Science and Philosophy Seminar of the Eastern Shore of Virginia has scheduled its next seminar, “Near Death Experiences.” The free 90-minute seminar will be at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 16 in the Lecture Hall of the Eastern Shore Community College, 29300 Lankford Hwy, Melfa, VA 23410.
Nick McClean-Rice will share the results of his research with the University of Virginia in this area.

About the Author
As someone who would be considered to have experienced a “near-death” experience, as if such an event in one’s life could be quantified as to exactly how near to death one actually was, without actually having arrived, I am curious as to what kind of research on the subject Nick McClean-Rice and the University of Virginia could have done in this area, since unless the observer was there when it was actually happening, there is nothing that can be measured, and any re-telling is always subjective, and is an opinion as to what happened, since what actually did happen cannot be conveyed to one who was not there to experience it themselves, and thus, they lack the context in which the events happened.
And I would say further that based on my own study, these are not at all cookie-cutter types of experiences.
What each person experiences is unique to that person, would be my thought, anyway.
So this should be an interesting presentation.
Perhaps he could get it out on YouTube, so those of us who can’t make it in person can have the opportunity of hearing what it is he said on the subject.
