This narrative is presented to you for your consideration of using the tennis courts as a multi-use tennis and basketball court. I realize in doing some local research there were some incidents on the former basketball court that spurred negative thinking.
However, I believe if this is done right it will be positive for the total community. I propose that the Common Council form a committee to explore the possibilities of this venture and to fund this project.
The collaboration with Park and Recreation, the Clergy, Police and Fire Departments and Businesses would be beneficial to further promote community relationships.

As an across-the-street neighbor to the former boys-and-girls club basketball court, I suggest that anyone that really thinks it would be a positive feature for Cape Charles, sponsor the court in proximity to their home. We’ve had our fill of this experience. The fowl language regularly coming from the court drove us, our children and our grandchildren off our front porch and from the playground. This addition to the park and playground environment would be a step back toward one of the town’s more vulgar experiences of past years.
The more activity the better. It would be great if multi use was considered and pickleball courts were lined as well. Pickleball is a fast growing sport and something anyone could learn to play. It would be a tremendous addition
Given the changing demographics of Cape Charles, might I suggest Polo fields and Croquet greens.

Yes build the basketball courts on the land in front of the Bay Breeze Apts.
Where are Baybreeze Apts?
How many places over the last 50 years have put of Basketball Courts to soothe the savage beast?
How many have worked?
There also should be a dog park, where dogs can have a place to socialize with other dogs like they do in Colorado and California.
