It was a busy week for Northampton Soccer. The Varsity played 3 games, winning all 3. The JV boys played 2 and won both.
The varsity boys beat Arcadia 2-0 in Oak Hall on Monday night. On Wednesday night in Eastville the yellow jackets pummeled Chincoteague 7-0. Then on Friday night the varsity boys team got a little revenge from last years loss in the regional finals. The yellow jackets beat Washington & Lee 5-0 on goals from Billy Martinez, Noah Leffel, Elian Morales and 2 from Arturo (JR) Gildo. JR had a beautiful corner kick that curved in for a goal. Gabe Webb was in goal for all 3 varsity wins.
The JV boys team beat Arcadia’s JV team 2-0 on Monday night. The yellow jacket offense got it going with a beautiful pass from the right comer from Jose Vera to Cameron Glennon. Glennon punched the ball in with a perfect mid-air kick. Minutes later Jose Vera add a second goal. On Friday night in Eastville the JV boys dominated Washington & Lee with a easy 3-0 win. At one point when the boys went up 2-0 coach Gorman took all the starters out. Kevin Ortiz scored 2 goals with Joe Curry in goal for both shutouts.

I love that boy, Jose Vera!!!! I am proud of the young man he is becoming and hope I played a role in that as this fourth grade teacher!
Note: Ms. Robins, we love him too…except when he’s on the other team and shredding us! – Joey Creed’s Dad, aka Coach Wayne
