Sunset Beach has begun work for a new, all inclusive RV resort . The plans our touting many new amenities such as a fitness center and six “high end” suites with Whirlpool bathtubs, as well a much needed upgrades to the existing outdoor pool area. Plans also include a convenience store which will serve beer and wine, as well as a coffee shop/baked goods store.
Pisces Construction out of Virginia Beach, the general contractor for the project, is preparing the land between the hotel and beach for 300 RV campsites. This development, which will take up every square inch of the property, could spell doom for locals that at one time enjoyed a quiet, fun rustic getaway at the southern tip of the Shore. If they fill even half those spots, well, you can just imagine what that will be like…
