The Town of Cape Charles is beginning preparations for the next fiscal year budget–that work will start in July.
Residents are encouraged to participate in shaping the budget process in two significant ways. Firstly, through the completion of the annual community survey, which has now concluded for the year. This input has been instrumental in crafting an update to the Community Strategic Plan.
Secondly, residents are invited to review the draft update to the Community Strategic Plan for 2024. The document, spanning 12 pages, is now available for public scrutiny. Feedback from the community is highly valued to ensure the plan accurately reflects their needs and aspirations.

A public hearing concerning the draft Community Strategic Plan update is scheduled during the regular Town Council Meeting on March 21. Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts either by attending the meeting in person or by submitting written comments to the Town Clerk. Written submissions must be received no later than an hour before the meeting to be considered.
