Due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19), the Town will be holding a special meeting to adopt measures to provide relief to local businesses.
Meeting date is April 8th at 6:30.
The Town is looking to extend the deadline for the business, professional and occupational license (BPOL) tax, which is currently due on April 15. The ordinance under consideration would extend this deadline without penalty or interest.
Taxes will still be due to the Town, but payment could be delayed until such time business revenues come back. Staff recommends September 30 as the new due date.
It will be live-streamed on Facebook and will also be videotaped for posting on the town’s website.
You can submit your comments in writing to clerk@capecharles.org to be read into the record during the meeting.

You would do well to mind your own business.
You fellas are Savages, you must be related to Rowland Savage, who had a plantation in Machipongo. In mid 1600s…
Common sense would explain the difference. Funk AI and the people who developed it.
I worked in Cape Charles over a dozen years ago and noticed that some things were played fast and loose…
Truth is not intimidation.
