The Cape Charles Town Council is set to approve the sale of two contiguous lots zoned R-1 near the intersection of Monroe Avenue and Pine Street at Thursday’s Regular Meeting. The lot on the corner contains the Pine Street Pump Station. Due to the sale of water and wastewater systems to Virginia American Water, the town subdivided the lot for sale. The subdivision plat has been recorded in the land records of Northampton County.
The Town is keeping the pump station lot, but his since sold the aromatic lot next door for $300,000.
The Town Manager will complete the closing on the sale after the adoption of the ordinance on Thursday. The deed conveying the property will then be signed by the Mayor.
