The Cape Charles pubic works department received notification from VDOT this week informing the town that the sweeping of streets has been canceled until further notice. No reason was provided.
The streets that were not swept include: Bay, Mason and Randolph Avenues, and Strawberry and Peach Streets.
These will be completed at a future date to be determined by VDOT. The town will send out a notice once the new date has been confirmed.
