CAPE CHARLES, VA – The local library is calling for volunteers to assist with its upcoming book sale on Friday, August 16. The sale, which is part of the “Libraries Rock!” initiative, will take place on the Pine Street side of the library.
Volunteers are needed for various tasks throughout the day. The day will begin at 9 a.m. with a setup crew tasked with picking up books from the shed behind the Civic Center and delivering them to the sale location.
The sale itself will be divided into three shifts, each requiring two volunteers. The shifts are as follows: 10 a.m. to noon, noon to 2 p.m., and 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.
At 4 p.m., a breakdown crew will be needed to load any leftover books and return them to the shed behind the Civic Center.
Those interested in volunteering are encouraged to contact Susan B. via email at sfriedbur@gmail.co.
The library is hopeful that community members will step forward to support this event, which promises to be both a fun and worthwhile endeavor.
