Biscuit will make you feel as special and cared for as the warm culinary treat that her name conjures up.
This pretty Australian Cattle Dog/Blue Heeler mix has been at the shelter for quite a while because we wanted to complete her treatment for heartworms, have her spayed, and be sure all of her vaccines were up to date before we made her available for adoption. But all of that’s been taken care of now, so she’s ready to go home with some lucky family.
Despite her long stay at the shelter, Biscuit is just as sweet now as she was the day she came to us. When we took her to a public event recently to represent the shelter, she was a perfect ambassador, quickly making friends with people who stopped to see her and showing no aggression toward other dogs that were present.

We’ve not “cat tested” her, so we don’t know how she might do in a home with cats, but from everything we’ve seen, Biscuit should do fine either with a canine companion or as an only dog. With her gentle nature, she should even do well in a home with young children.
Biscuit would love nothing more than a chance to curl up with a toy on a doggie bed in your home. Think you might like to give her that chance? Then why not visit the kennel any day Tuesday-Saturday and do a walkthrough between 10:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.
You could even pick up an adoption application while you’re here. Or applications are also available on our website (www.shorespca.com), by emailing shorespca@gmail.com and requesting one, or by calling the shelter (757-787-7385) between 10:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
