CAPE CHARLES, Va. — With the upcoming local election drawing closer, Cape Charles residents will have the opportunity to meet and engage with candidates running for Town Council. A “Meet the Candidates” event is scheduled for Monday, September 16, 2024, from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Cape Charles Civic Center, located at 500 Tazewell Avenue.
The event is organized with the goal of introducing the candidates to the community. Each candidate will provide a brief introduction of themselves and explain why they are running for Town Council. Candidates will also address questions prepared by the Civic League Board, offering insight into their views on key issues affecting the town.
Audience members will be encouraged to submit questions, time permitting, as part of the interactive session.

There isn’t a more important election than the one closest to home. The event provides an opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates personally before heading to the polls.
