CAPE CHARLES — Renovation work continues on the third floor and rear mezzanine of the Cape Charles Memorial Library building, according to the town’s Capital Projects Manager.
Progress was also made on critical infrastructure improvements. An easement on Virginia Port Authority property, required for construction of pipelines between the town’s new wells and the water treatment plant, was finalized and forwarded to the Town Manager for signature. The pipeline project is being undertaken by Virginia American Water.
Additionally, the Capital Projects Manager coordinated with the Harbormaster to begin the process of advertising bids for the sale of an abandoned vessel.
