The Town of Cape Charles is offering a unique opportunity for boating enthusiasts and collectors: a 1993 Carver 33-foot boat is now available for purchase through a sealed bid process. The vessel is docked at the Cape Charles Town Harbor and is being sold in “as is” condition, with a minimum bid set at $5,000.
Prospective buyers are encouraged to inspect the boat prior to bidding, as the Town makes no warranties regarding its structural or operational condition. The sale is contingent upon the Town obtaining the title to the boat, a process currently underway. Once the sale is finalized, the purchaser is required to remove the boat from the harbor within one week.
Sealed bids must be submitted to the Harbor Master at 11 Marina Road, Cape Charles, VA 23310, by 5:00 PM on June 20, 2025. For further information or to arrange an inspection, interested parties should contact Harbor Master Paula Davis at 757-900-3625.

What is the reason for the town claiming ownership and selling this boat?
I believe that’s the boat that run a ground during a storm last winter. The owner was unable to afford to have it removed and gave Cape Charles ownership of it.
Sorry, wrong boat! The one that run around was a sailboat.
