Arts Enter Brings Norman Barasch’s Hilarious Hypochondriac Tale to Historic Palace Theatre
CAPE CHARLES, VA – Arts Enter Cape Charles will present the beloved three-act comedy “Send Me No Flowers” by Norman Barasch and Carroll Moore at the Historic Palace Theatre for three performances November 21-23.
The production, sponsored by Virginia Eye Consultants, promises an evening of laughter with this classic farce about love, trust, and the absurdity of jumping to conclusions.

About the Play
“Send Me No Flowers” tells the story of George Kimball, a hypochondriac who mistakenly believes he’s dying after overhearing his doctor discussing another patient. In a comic twist of misguided devotion, George decides to find a suitable replacement husband for his wife Judy before he “passes away.” What follows is a hilarious series of misunderstandings, mistaken identities, and marital mix-ups that has delighted audiences since its Broadway debut in 1960.
The play, which inspired the 1964 film starring Rock Hudson, Doris Day, and Tony Randall, remains a favorite among community theaters for its witty dialogue and timeless humor about marriage, mortality, and miscommunication.
