CAPE CHARLES, Va. β Bay Creek has officially broken ground on a major expansion of its Life Center, marking what officials describe as a new era of enhanced amenities and coastal wellness at the Cape Charles community.
The project will introduce several new features designed to expand health, fitness, and recreation offerings for residents and members. Planned additions include:
- An indoor pool
- A cold plunge pool
- A sauna and hot tub
- Restorative treatment rooms for wellness and relaxation
Bay Creek leaders say the expansion is intended to create a βworld-classβ destination focused on both activity and relaxation, blending fitness, recovery, and coastal lifestyle experiences.

The development comes as Bay Creek continues to grow and invest in amenities designed to attract both full-time residents and seasonal visitors to Cape Charles.
Member Experience Continues During Construction
While construction is underway, Bay Creek officials say current member services will continue without interruption. Existing amenities will remain available, including:
- Beach chair setup services
- Food and beverage ordering through the Bay Creek App
- Seasonal recreation and beach access
The expansion reflects a broader trend among coastal communities investing in wellness-focused amenities, particularly as demand for lifestyle-oriented residential communities continues to grow.
Bay Creek described the project as the beginning of βan entirely new eraβ for the Life Center and a continued evolution of the communityβs coastal living experience.
