Residents and business owners in Cape Charles can now take advantage of free notary services available through both the Cape Charles Memorial Library and Town Hall.
The service is free for Cape Charles residents and business owners. Non-residents will be charged $10 per signature.
Officials recommend making an appointment to ensure staff availability.
The Cape Charles Memorial Library currently has two licensed notaries on staff. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 757-331-1300. Walk-in services are also available from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., depending on staff availability.
Notary appointments at Cape Charles Town Hall may be arranged by contacting Libby Hume at 757-331-3259, ext. 10. Walk-ins are accepted between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m., subject to staff availability.
