Town accepting sealed bids through November 16 for improvements to the Cape Charles Docks parking area.
CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is seeking contractors to undertake restoration and resealing work at the Cape Charles Docks parking lot, part of an effort to maintain the town’s waterfront infrastructure.
Town officials have issued an Invitation for Bids (IFB) for the project, with sealed proposals due by 2 p.m. on Monday, November 16, 2026.
The project calls for restoration and resealing of the parking lot serving the Cape Charles Docks. While the public notice does not specify the full scope of the improvements, the planned work is intended to address the condition of the parking surface.
Parking lot restoration and resealing can help protect pavement from deterioration caused by weather, vehicle traffic, and general wear, potentially extending the useful life of the surface.
Bids Due November 16
Contractors interested in the project must submit sealed bids to Cape Charles Town Hall, located at 412 Tazewell Avenue, Cape Charles, Virginia 23310.
All bids must be received before the 2 p.m. deadline on November 16. Town officials will publicly open and read aloud the bids received at that time.
Late submissions will not be considered and will be returned unopened.
Bid Documents Available
The town has made the Invitation for Bids package available through its official website at www.capecharles.org, under the “Bid Opportunities” section.
Contractors may also obtain the documents in person at Town Hall.
The IFB package provides prospective bidders with the information needed to prepare and submit proposals for the project.
Under the terms of the solicitation, the Town of Cape Charles reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities, as permitted by applicable law.
The notice does not identify an estimated project cost, anticipated construction schedule, or expected completion date. Additional details may be included in the bid documents.
The solicitation represents another opportunity for contractors to participate in the maintenance of Cape Charles’ public facilities, including infrastructure serving the town’s waterfront.
