On Wednesday, the Virginia State Police issued a Critically Missing Adult alert for 18-year-old Vermelle Tontrese Moore. Moore was abducted near Captains Cove around 3:20 a.m. Wednesday. She was located in Maryland at around 4 p.m. that day.
The person wanted for the abduction was 20-year-old Jerry Antonie Satchell of Horntown, Va. Police say Mr. Satchell forced the victim into a green 1993 Ford F-150 pickup truck; the truck was located Wednesday afternoon.
Satchell turned himself in to authorities Thursday. He will face charges of felony abduction, destruction of property and assault.
