ACCOMACK COUNTY, Va. — Accomack County Public Schools is condemning racist comments directed at its student-athletes during a volleyball game at Broadwater Academy, according to a statement released Friday by Superintendent Gennifer Miller.
Miller said she has spoken with Broadwater’s head of school and the commissioner of the Volleyball Eastern Shore Officials Association about the incident.
“The behavior witnessed last night is unacceptable and will not be tolerated,” Miller said. “Our student-athletes, like all students, deserve to learn, grow, and compete in an environment of dignity, respect, and safety.”
She added that if such conduct happens again and is not addressed immediately, ACPS teams will leave the game and return home.
The division said its standards of sportsmanship and respect extend to all athletic, academic, and extracurricular events, including games played between schools within Accomack County. Anyone who violates those expectations will be asked to leave.
“ACPS will not permit any environment that diminishes the dignity of our students or undermines the values of inclusivity, equity, and unity,” Miller said.
The superintendent said the district remains committed to protecting students and ensuring programs reflect respect, dignity and good sportsmanship.

Shockingly ….. this never happened. Multiple people in attendance who i know well, said this never happened. It’s a bunch of sore loser stuff after the fact. Wrong team won. Wake up people. Progressives lie constantly. It’s the one thing they all have in common. Lying.
For all of the 70’s and most of the 80’s Broadwater Academy was an openly known as an all white school. My parents sent me there in 1973 for that very reason.
Over the years, I’ve noticed that quite often the people who shriek Racism! …are actually, themselves racists.
Racism is an attitude that takes place inside one’s head. Discrimination is an overt act that takes place in the real world. There is no such thing as racism in the real world. You folks have been lied to and fell for it, for it is far easier to fool idiots than it is to convince them they have already been fooled.
