The Cape Charles Town Council adopted the 2022 version of the Comprehensive Plan. Work on the document began in 2019, and was intitially taken up by the Town’s Planning Commission. The goal was to develop a “stand alone” document that “updated statistics and relative demographic information, and developed goals and objectives for each required element of the Comprehensive Plan”.
The combination of weak staffing and the COVID-19 pandemic derailed the effort, and it was determined that the Planning Commission was not up to the task. In late summer 2021, the Town hired Summit Design and Engineering. Summit took over all of the public engagement, as well as edits to the draft chapters that had been worked on by the Planning Commission up to that point.
On December 6th 2022, a joint public hearing was held and Anne Darby on behalf of Summit Design and
Engineering gave a PowerPoint presentation and outlined the process and work done.
The draft Comprehensive Plan document is available for review on the Town’s website at

How is the town managing properties? What is the purpose of the single quotation marks?
Why is the 'town' managing properties for silly folks 'short-term-renting' their private property, to get others to pay their mortgages?
Am not at all an expert on these things but; this sounds like the streamlining of a substancial Cash Cow...…
The fact that the inept chief of police still has a job is alarmingly indicative of the good ol' boys…
Those women should tell their brothers, fathers, boyfriends, husbands, uncles, ect.
