The Virginia Living Best of Virginia Readers Survey has concluded, and while there were 1500 winners, Cape Charles took home 33 of the titles. The businesses that won are:
Ambrogia Caffe & Enoteca, Art and Music on the Farm, Atlantic Dermatology Associates, Atlantic Union Bank, Bailey’s Bait and Tackle, Barrier Islands Center Oyster Roast Fundraiser, Bay Creek Resort & Club, Bay Haven Inn of Cape Charles, Blue Heron Realty Co., Browder-Hite Landscaping, Brown Dog Ice Cream, Buskey Cider on the Bay, Cape Charles Animal Hospital, Cape Charles Beach, Cape Charles Brewing Co., Cape Charles Candy Company, Cape Charles Christian School, Cape Charles Coffee House, Cape Charles Distillery, Chatham Vineyards on Church Creek, Cherrystone Family Camping Resort, Don Valerio’s, Eastern Shore Outfitters, Gull Hummock Gourmet Market, Historic Palace Theater, Hotel Cape Charles, LOVEwork in Cape Charles, Moonrise Jewelry, Peach Street Books, Periwinkles Consignment Boutique, Seagrass Floral & Apothecary.
What? I want a recount!
It seems more likely someone stuffed the voting box, that was on the town council. Or the people of “Virginia living” don’t get out much.
Now I would agree with some of the winners and offer my congratulations. But the cape charles beach? Really?! It is the dirtiest beach I been on. Tourist openly pee, leave their belongs for days, ride golf carts on the beach and throw their garbage everywhere.
Some of these places are not even in cape charles.
Is the town getting desperate for the tourist dollars?! Does the writting on the wall seems to be hitting home?
I know I sound bad, but common on man! This just doesn’t seem logical.
Doug Luther, you are a breath of fresh air
