CAPE CHARLES, Va. —The Cape Charles Capital Projects Manager reported progress on several key initiatives. Work continues with the Town attorney on VAW counsel’s recommended revisions to easements and property conveyance for the KW1&2 wells pipelines project. An Invitation for Bid was issued for the first phase of the harbor boardwalk reconstruction.
Further developments include the preparation of a sales contract for Library Properties, which has been provided to a developer for review. The town received one bid for the construction of the Strawberry Street Sidewalk on the west side of the park, which came in within budget. A contract will be provided to the Town Manager for signature next week. Additionally, collaboration with the Planner/Zoning Administrator is ongoing regarding a potential workforce housing project.
