The Cape Charles Planning Commission approved amendments to the 2009 Comprehensive Plan. At the December 6th meeting, the commission received public comments, and then approved a resolution to send the document to Town Council for possible adoption.
Only one public comment, which referenced the use of accessory dwellings within town limits was given. Language in the current draft addresses accessory dwellings.
The Planning Commission began reviewing the 2009 Comprehensive in the summer of 2013. Over this period, the proposed amendments to the Comp Plan were the subject of numerous public meetings and public input sessions.
The draft language, along with any amendments will be taken up by town council at the December 15th Regular Meeting.
