Cape Charles, VA — The Cape Charles Police Department has released its law enforcement statistics for the month of March, providing insight into the department’s activities during the period.
According to the report, the department responded to a total of 102 calls for service within Cape Charles, while also offering assistance in 7 calls outside the town’s jurisdiction. There were no felony arrests recorded for the month, but 2 misdemeanor arrests were made. Additionally, officers issued 29 traffic summonses, including 5 with golf carts.
Parking enforcement remained active, with 9 parking tickets issued, while officers conducted 30 building checks throughout the month. The department also assisted the Northampton County Sheriff’s Office on 7 occasions.
Foot patrols consumed 43 hours of officer time, while an additional 17 hours were dedicated to Bay Creek patrol.
In terms of personnel development, Officer Lewis completed general instructor recertification, while Officers Lewis, Potts, and Pruitt underwent 40 hours of in-service training. Officer Diaz completed gang specialist training.
