CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is gearing up for a spectacular Fourth of July celebration, with a full day of events planned for residents and visitors alike. Julie Pruitt, assistant to the Town Manager, has been working diligently to ensure everything is finalized for this year’s festivities. For specific questions about the day’s activities, please contact Julie directly by emailing her at Julie.pruitt@capecharles.org.
The celebration kicks off at 10:00 a.m. with the annual Fourth of July Parade. This year, parade participants are required to register in advance to help mitigate the confusion experienced in previous years.
Following the parade, the annual Street Fair will open along Bay Avenue. Attendees can enjoy a variety of craft and food vendors. Youth basketball and cornhole tournaments are also on the schedule, providing fun and competition for younger attendees.
The festivities will conclude with a dazzling fireworks display on Bay Avenue after dark, promising a memorable end to the day.
“There will be something for everyone to enjoy,” said Pruitt. “We hope to see you in town!”
