CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles is seeking public input on its 2025 Community Strategic Plan update, a key annual process that will help shape the town’s priorities, budget, and staff work plans for the upcoming fiscal year.
The update process began several months ago with the release of the latest Community Strategic Plan Citizens’ Survey. Town Council reviewed the survey results during a work session on Feb. 27 and proposed a draft update that outlines this year’s priorities, detailed in Appendix B of the plan.
To gather community feedback, the town will hold a public input session on March 20 at 6:00 p.m. at the Town Civic Center. Residents are encouraged to share their thoughts on the draft plan and priority list. Those unable to attend the meeting can submit written comments to the Town Clerk by 4:30 p.m. on March 20.
Following the public input session, the Town Council will finalize and adopt the updated strategic plan, setting the stage for the development of the Fiscal Year 2026 budget.
