On November 14, 2017, the Town received notification from Northampton County to submit any funding assistance requests for FY 2018/2019 by January 3, 2018.
For Fiscal Year 2018/2019, the Town plans to request funding assistance as follows:
• Cape Charles Memorial Library and Computer Training Lab Operations – $30K (FY2017/2018 budget = $138K)
• July 4th 2018 fireworks display – $7K of a $15K budget
• Public Beach Safety Operations – $10K of an anticipated $30K budget
• Offshore Breakwater Project – $75K of a $850K project
The Town will request Northampton County to continue its efforts to provide emergency services to the residents of the County and the Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company.
In the past, the town has received $20K for the library and computer lab training.
