CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Cape Charles Town Council will hold its regular meeting on Thursday, October 17, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., with a public hearing and several key items on the agenda.
The meeting will begin with a public hearing, where community members will have three minutes each to speak on the following topics:
- Zoning Map Amendment Application for 711 Tazewell Avenue: The council will review a proposed amendment to the zoning map for the property at this location.
- Real Property Transactions: These transactions are required to connect the new wells to the town’s water treatment plant, as per post-closing and franchise agreements with Virginia American Water.
Following the public hearing, the council will address new business, including:
- Zoning Map Amendment Application for 711 Tazewell Avenue: After the public hearing, the council will vote on the amendment.
- FY 2025 Budget Amendment: The council will discuss a budget amendment related to a grant for the Cape Charles Volunteer Fire Company.
