Capital Projects Manager Bob Panek reports that the firm HBA has evaluated the available information on the potential site for new construction of Town offices and concluded that a Phase 1 Environmental Site Assessment (ESA) is unnecessary. Panek has noted in his staff report that he favors moving directly to Phase 2 of the ESA by taking soil borings and water sampling.
Panek also noted that the town is working with their site development sub-consultant to propose a contract change order.
HBA and their engineering sub-consultant were on site this week to start the condition assessment of the Municipal and Library buildings. This work will continue next week with a structural assessment of the structure.
