However, at this time we are still continuing absentee voting for the May Town Elections in Cape Charles and Exmore. Voters are being strongly encouraged to choose one of the two voting choices to cast a ballot for the May Town Elections in order to avoid going to the polls on May 5, 2020.

Terry Flynn says
Wayne,
Thanks for putting this up. I just want to update voters on the situation.
Voters, the best way to cast a ballot for the May Town Election is through the mail. You can call the office, (678-0480) to request an application be sent to you, or go on line to the Department of Elections (https://www.elections.virginia.gov/casting-a-ballot/ ). I will also have applications and SASE’s with me when I am there for in-person absentee voting Mondays and Wednesdays from 11-1. Also, we are supplying return postage on all envelopes.
I was out yesterday in Central Park and saw a couple hearty souls walking dogs, but no voters. I will be there M-W until April 29th or until we are forced to suspend in-person voting. I want to thank Libby and the town for all their help with this; they have been great. Just a note that we are in the town so voters won’t have to travel, and outside because when we thought our county building would be closed to the public we also anticipated the towns closing their buildings as well. We are doing the same thing in Exmore on Tuesdays and Thursdays, 11-1, in the utility building in the Exmore Town Park.
Voters, please call if you have any questions or would like to request an absentee ballot. Or, come to the park, bring your ID and vote in person.
