BIRDWALK RESCHEDULED – Due to severe weather, the Eastern Shore Master Naturalists have rescheduled this January25th bird walk to Saturday, Feb. 8, 8:30 am to 10.30 am.
The walk will be along Tom’s Cove and Assateague beach to explore winter visitors to Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, the feeding grounds for thousands of migratory snow geese, and also look for common and red-throated loons, horned and pied-billed grebes, tundra and mute swans, and many types of ducks.
They will meet at Tom’s Cove Visitors Center at 8.30 am. The walk is offered in partnership with CNWR. Newcomers to birding are very welcome. We will provide binoculars and a telescope.
