MACHIPONGO, Va. — Local residents and activists will gather next month for the Eastern Shore Rally, an event aimed at encouraging civic engagement and community storytelling. The rally is scheduled for Saturday, April 5, at noon at Baines Farm & Market, located at 7036 Bell Lane in Machipongo, at the corner of Route 13 and Bell Lane.
Organized by the Democrats of Northampton and Accomack Counties, the rally will feature speakers, live music, and an open invitation for attendees to share their personal stories and concerns. Participants are encouraged to bring signs and join the conversation under the event’s theme, “Reclaim Our Democracy.”
The event is supported by several organizations, including Voices of Florida, Political Revolution, Indivisible, Women’s March, and others.
Organizers say the rally is an opportunity for residents of Virginia’s Eastern Shore to voice their opinions on local, state, and national issues while fostering a sense of community and civic responsibility.

I believe this past election did just that . If you believe that the previous Democratic administration was utilizing democracy then its time for you to actually look at the facts not the bs pushed upon this country from the media which was directed by very wealthy Democrats.

Not sure why anyone is surprised at the actions of this administration. Trump campaigned for 4 years and told the world exactly what he intended to do if re-elected. We The People re-elected him. No surprise.
I agree with you totally! Rallies should have taken place prior to the election. Democracy involves a majority vote. Apparently, the majority spoke on election day. Most of the people who I have witnessed speaking against Trump and company are afraid of losing their subsidized housing, food stamps, and checks. I am poor too. Guess what? I am a senior citizen AND I work for mine. These young, able bodied folks need to do the same!
