  1. Of course left out of history as usual the start and ending of the Vietnam War and the 58,479 young men and women who died there.

    Note: Good point, just hard to nail down an exact day and week for it. We try to cover major points of that war as they line up on the calendar.

The VEET NAM war really goes back in time to FDR and the Japanese occupation of VEET NAM, when we were supplying Ho Chi Minh with weapons to fight the Japanese on our behalf, then comes forward in time with their betrayal by Harry S. Truman, and passes forward in time through the Eisenhauer administration, to JFK, who said he was going to pull us out of VEET NAM just before he was shot and killed, and then onto LBJ, who called it a “raggedy-ass fourth rate little country,” and his now famous fraud on the nation, the “Tonkin Gulf Incident,” which is really what got the shooting war going.

    So when did the VEET NAM war really start?
