Sources have told the Cape Charles Mirror that interim harbormaster Barbara Michaux has been injured in an accident this week. The Mirror has attempted to get press information from the town, but as of this printing, has only received a note from Chief Pruitt that Ms. Michaux was injured and has been receiving treatment this week. Sources also tell the Mirror that Michaux underwent surgery at a Virginia Beach hospital for a ruptured disc and other injuries.
According the Mirror source, Michaux was seriously injured at the harbor Sat 1/23 during an accident/rescue, and that Officer Chelsea CCPD was on the scene. We are trying to confirm as many of these details as possible. When we get more details from the town, we will update this story.
