CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The owner of 1 Fig Street has made significant progress in complying with the corrective actions required in last month’s Notice of Violation. The owner has provided the necessary contractual documents, engaging a contractor who will begin work to install a roof, windows, and doors.
Katie H. Nunez, Planning Director & Zoning Administrator, told the Mirror, “The owner of 1 Fig Street has substantially complied with the corrective action required in the Notice of Violation last month by providing the necessary contractual documents engaging a contractor and his contractor will be proceeding with work on the property in the coming weeks to put a roof on, windows & doors and ensure the building is fully enclosed and protected from the elements. As part of the Town Council agenda item on Thursday, July 18, 2024, I will have a PowerPoint presentation that gives a status report on all Notice of Violation cases relative to Demolition by Neglect as well as any properties that have been contacted as a precursor effort to address their property prior to moving into a Demolition by Neglect status and case.”
