The summit will feature a range of presentations and discussions on innovative solutions for shoreline management in the face of rising sea levels and increased storm activity. Living shorelines, which use natural materials like plants, sand, and stone to stabilize coasts, have become a key focus for preserving ecosystems while protecting properties.
This summit is a crucial opportunity for stakeholders to share knowledge, collaborate, and explore sustainable approaches to coastal resilience.
With growing concerns about the impacts of climate change on coastal areas, the summit is expected to draw a large audience of professionals working in fields ranging from marine biology to environmental policy.
The Brock Environmental Center, known for its state-of-the-art sustainable design, provides an ideal setting for a summit focused on ecological preservation. Attendees will also have opportunities to participate in field sessions to observe living shoreline projects in action.
