Specific references in the 2020 Comprehensive Plan state that agriculture is a major industry in Northampton County and should be protected.
Note that nowhere in the Comprehensive Plan does it say that the vision of the majority of residents and business owners adhere to the notion that farmland needs to be excavated so that private companies can make millions of dollars once those agricultural lands are destroyed and then marketed/sold as “constructed wetlands”. Why is the County allowing organizations such as the Nature Conservancy to do this?
The last sentence at the beginning of the Comp Plan overview confirms this (see attachment, page 10):
“As a vital player in the local economy, agriculture
and aquaculture resources must be responsibly
managed and protected such that they continue
to contribute to the economic resiliency of the d
region.”
Northampton County needs more businesses.
Northampton needs WAY more business & is run by old inbred incompetent white-trash farming families. The county Sheriff is from an inbred farming family & most of it’s deputies are inbred & incompetent as well.
Then leave. The same road that brought you will take you away…
