Notary Services are available in the Town Hall and the Cape Charles Memorial Library. The services are free for Cape Charles residents and business owners, and $5.00 per signature for non-residents. Appointments are highly recommended to ensure the availability of personnel.
For appointments at the Town Hall, located at 2 Plum Street, please call 757-331-3259, ext. 18 for Julie Pruitt, or ext. 10 for Libby Hume. Walk-ins will be accepted between the hours of 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. subject to staff availability.
For appointments at the Cape Charles Memorial Library, located at 201 Mason Avenue, please call 757-331-1300. Walk-ins will be accepted during normal library hours subject to staff availability.

I am a Virginia Notary Public and have been for several years.. At my renewal in May 2023, the Notary rules stated that a Notary is permitted to charge up to $5.00 per document, not per signature. Just thought I would pass it along.
