FAIRFAX, VA – Candidate for Lt. Governor Sean Perryman received the endorsement of Petersburg Mayor Samuel Parham and Petersburg Vice Mayor Annette Smith-Lee on Thursday. The endorsements come after Perryman’s commanding performance in Tuesday night’s Lt. Governor debate, where he laid out his progressive vision for Virginia. Parham and Smith-Lee join over 40 Black elected officials in Virginia who have endorsed Perryman’s campaign.
“I’m supporting Sean Perryman for Lt. Governor because he deeply understands the needs of communities like Petersburg,” said Mayor Parham. “Although our Commonwealth has made great progress in recent years, far too many have been left behind. Sean is committed to bringing Virginia into the future in an equitable way by investing in education, infrastructure, healthcare, and affordable housing for all. He has a record of connecting with and organizing communities on the ground so he can advocate for bold solutions to their unique challenges.”
“I’m proud to support Sean as he seeks to be Virginia’s next Lt. Governor,” said Smith-Lee. “Sean knows that taking care of the most vulnerable in our communities is how we lift up everyone, no matter their race, income, religion, or gender. He has experience building coalitions around big ideas and has put forward a platform that will transform our Commonwealth for the better.”
With less than two weeks until election day, the Perryman is finishing strong and continuing to rack up crucial endorsements from local community leaders.
