This April, the Planning & Zoning Department was alerted by the property owner that the Town Zoning Map was incorrect–Tax Map #83A3-11-1 south of the harbor and its zoning should be Harbor Zoning and not Industrial-2 (M-2) Zoning. Inspection by town staff indicated that the property owner was correct, and the so-called updated zoning map was bogus.
The Cape Charles Town Council will hold a public hearing on Thursday, May 18, 2023, at 6:30 pm in the Cape Charles Civic Center, 500 Tazewell Avenue, to receive comments on a proposed correction to the Zoning Map. Town Council will review and vote on the changes that same night at the Regular Meeting.


How much more will it cost to make it right this time, assuming that they do manage to do it right this time?
