  1. I feel your sadness, I lost 2, one was 17, the other was 18. When the 17 year old died I said no more I can’t go through that again, well a year later I rescued a Bichon from a house of toddlers that were very rough with her. It is 16 years without a dog,I now travel in a way that I can’t bring a dog, my daughter says they will take care of the dog when I am away, but I am away often, and they have 3 of their own, who’s to say my dog will get along with theirs. I miss that feeling of happiness they give when you walk through the door, joy and unconditional love.
    Missing my fur babies.

  2. Beautiful tribute. I feel your pain. Having lost my share of animal soul mates it is always hard to recover. They need us though as we need them. We keep letting them in refusing to believe that we will ever have to let them go. Just as it should be. I am sorry for your loss.
