Town Council will hold a Special Meeting on June 3rd to discuss the town’s Historic District Overlay. Details are short at this time. Sources told the Mirror that the discussion will be looped around how the town can continue to leverage Historic overlay district as a tool for municipal historic regulation.
The main regulatory tool is the Historic District Review Board. The actions and motivations of the HDR have come under scrutiny, and to many newer residents, the methodology has been ham fisted.
Town Council will also be approving an ordinance that will force the town to accept the State’s “amendments to the provisions and requirements…in matters of regulation of motor vehicles and traffic.”
The meeting will be held at the Cape Charles Civic Center on Tazewell Avenue at 6:30 (1830).

You would do well to mind your own business.
You fellas are Savages, you must be related to Rowland Savage, who had a plantation in Machipongo. In mid 1600s…
Common sense would explain the difference. Funk AI and the people who developed it.
I worked in Cape Charles over a dozen years ago and noticed that some things were played fast and loose…
Truth is not intimidation.
