Council has approved a project to install concrete paving at the Harbor parking lot in front of the Shanty. This will be a semi-circle around the Watermen’s Memorial.
This project is part of the $253K available for Town Harbor rehabilitation and improvement projects after the recent budget transfer approved by Council.
Only one bid was received from Contracting Solutions, Inc., Chesapeake. The base bid is $47,696.56, the alternate bid is $18,247.67.
The bid is about three times the estimate based on concrete work recently done for the Town, which would eat up funding available for
higher priority Harbor rehabilitation and improvement projects.
Council will be discussing rebidding the project at the next Special Meeting on February 6th.

I'll be running in the next town council election.
You're right Butters. Many people are Profiting from the Rape of the Bay including politicians and officials. Meanwhile Omega is…
CBF has to keep the movement going. They don't care about science unless it serves their narrative.. Which isn't unusual…
Happened again! The hiring of someone that has little if not zero experience of life on the Shore. I'm sure…
Embezzlement? Extortion? Money laundering? Etc, etc, etc. The entire town council and police department should be fired and disbanded.
