CAPE CHARLES, Va. — The Town of Cape Charles will hold an executive session to review and appoint a new member to its Planning Commission, effective immediately, officials announced.
The meeting, closed to the public under Virginia law, will also include a certification process requiring members to affirm that only matters legally exempt from open meeting requirements were discussed.
Town officials emphasized that the certification ensures adherence to transparency laws. Members will confirm that all discussions remained within the scope of the closed meeting’s stated purpose, which was outlined in the motion to convene the session.
The certification will be followed by a roll call vote to confirm compliance.
No further details regarding the Planning Commission appointment have been disclosed.
