VIMS Marine Science Day May 15th, 10:00 – 3:00
This free, family-friendly, virtual event will provide opportunities to interact with VIMS scientists and learn about their research. There will be something for everyone; from seafood cooking demonstrations and marine life drawing lessons to presentations, and panel discussions. A marine life costume contest for people and their pets, plus an art contest are also part of the fun. CCRM scientists will offer coastal resilience sessions about storm surge and tidal flooding forecasting and helping communities adapt to rising waters.
If you can’t attend the live event on May 15th, recordings of all programs will be accessible on the platform until June 11th, 2021. Register now and you’ll have an entire month to view the Marine Science Day content.
