CNN’s “Reliable Sources” newsletter informed readers that the White House has been working with media outlets to help reshape messaging on the economy.
“The White House, not happy with the news media’s coverage of the supply chain and economy, has been working behind the scenes trying to reshape coverage in its favor,” reported “Reliable Sources.”
Senior White House and admin officials — including NEC Deputy Directors David Kamin and Bharat Ramamurti, along with Ports Envoy John Porcari — have been briefing major newsrooms over the past week, a source tells me.
The officials have been discussing with newsrooms trends pertaining to job creation, economic growth, supply chains, and more. The basic argument that has been made: That the country’s economy is in much better shape than it was last year. I’m told the conversations have been productive, with anchors and reporters and producers getting to talk with the officials… (CNN).
Media corporations meeting in secret with WH officials to discuss how to present a more optimistic view of Biden’s economic policies seems to me to be a bit like . . . . . . state TV. But I’m glad (and unsurprised) to hear from CNN that the “conversations have been productive.”
BIZARRE BEYOND ALL BELIEF!
But the bizarre is becoming the commonplace now in this AGE OF BIDEN!
“Biden bill would give local news outlets ‘shot in the arm’”
ByAssociated Press, Farnoush Amiri and Tali Arbel
November 13, 2021
President Joe Biden’s $1.85 trillion social spending bill includes a provision that, if it becomes law, would mark the first time the federal government has offered targeted support in response to the decline of local news.
The help would come in the form of a payroll tax credit for companies that employ eligible local journalists.
The measure would allow newspapers, digital news outlets, and radio and television stations to claim a tax credit of $25,000 the first year and $15,000 the next four years for up to 1,500 journalists.
But the credit, which would cost $1.67 billion over the next five years, does create some tension for the industry.
Some top Republicans in Congress have derided it as a handout.
Leading journalists also acknowledge that it’s awkward to receive financial assistance from a government they cover independently.
Still, given the sense of crisis the industry is facing, many journalists say the risk is worth it.
“This is only a reluctant response to this fear of the collapse of local news and their business models,” said Steven Waldman, president and co-founder of Report for America, an organization that places journalists in local newsrooms, including The Associated Press.
“Most journalists start off with a healthy skepticism about the government getting involved and helping journalism.”
“And that’s appropriate.”
“But,” he added, “the reason why this is happening now is just the severity of the crisis.”
More recently, a pandemic-era small business loan program provided millions to news organizations.
The provision is supported by more than a dozen House Republicans, though the second-ranking GOP leader, Rep. Steve Scalise of Louisiana, called it a scam in a recent tweet.
“Make no mistake — this is Biden and Dems in Congress helping pay the reporters’ salaries who cover for them,” he tweeted.
Speaking of Biden’s version of Pravda, this morning, one more time again, on came NPR (National Propaganda Radio) news, and out came the words, in tones of moral outrage and pure disgust “INSURRECTION ON 6 JNAUARY.”
Except there never was an insurrection anywhere in the United States on January 6, 2021, or any other January 6th, for that matter.
But that will not stop NPR from saying in tones of moral superiority and outrage and disgust at Trump supporters who they consider a sub-human species there was an insurrection on 6 January 2021, apparently because they like to tell lies and it makes them feel good about themselves and all warm and squishy inside to do so, and then call it “news,” when in fact it is Democrat party/Biden propaganda.
And then there is Reuters getting into the liar category with the Biden/Democrat political propaganda piece “U.S. House Capitol Jan. 6 probe subpoenas more Trump aides” by Patricia Zengerle, edited by Scott Malone, Chris Reese and Daniel Wallis on December 10, 2021, to wit:
The committee has issued more than 50 subpoenas and heard from more than 275 witnesses in its investigation of the attack by supporters of the Republican ex-president as Congress met to formally certify his November 2020 presidential election defeat by Democrat Joe Biden.
Four people died the day of the riot, and one Capitol police officer died the next day of injuries sustained while defending Congress.

Except that is HORSE**** plain and simple.
The Capitol police officer died of natural causes, not injuries sustained while defending Congress:

I guess Reuters doesn’t read the news.
Ah, yes, Biden’s Pravda, a subservient “media” to tout Joe and how great he really is, all the way around, in every category in which greatness can be measured, while at the same time telling vile lies and outrageous untruths and falsehoods about all of Joe’s many enemies and opponents and detractors, which right now is some sixty percent of the American people, and stepping up to the plate to be on “Joe’s media team,” the team of the real good guys, the ones on the high white horses wearing the white hats, is the Daily Beast with the story “Mark Meadows’ Personal Cell Is Becoming a Personal Hell” by Jose Pagliery and Roger Sollenberger on 14 December 2021, where they tried to feed us the following horse****, to wit:
After the Jan. 6 Committee disclosed just a few choice text messages between Meadows and Fox News hosts, an anonymous lawmaker, and Donald Trump Jr. about the insurrection, the battle for all of Meadows’ communications has taken on new meaning.
end quotes
Except there was NO insurrection on 6 January 2021, so it is obvious that the Daily Beast, Jose Pagliery and Roger Sollenberger are outright lying to us and slinging a bunch of horse**** in the guise of “news,” which takes us to this from that same article:
Congressional investigators are particularly interested in how Meadows used his personal devices and accounts to coordinate several challenges to the 2020 election results — and the disastrous aftermath of the failed coup.
end quotes
FAILED COUP?
When exactly was there a failed coup in America?
Does anyone know?
There was indeed a coup on 6 January 2021, but Trump had nothing to do with it, since the coup was by Nancy Pelosi and her pack of Democrats who laid our Constitution and Rule of Law low on 6 January 2021 when they installed the old fool Joe Biden as president of the United States, so that coup was not a failed coup at all.
To the contrary, it was very successful.
And it is nice to see the Washington Examiner ripping into ABC News for being a Biden lickspittle in the article “ABC News distorts history, facts to defend Joe Biden’s stalled agenda” by Becket Adams on 18 December 2021, to wit:
“A single senator is about to seriously set back an entire presidential agenda,” ABC reported Friday in a breaking news alert.
Its report, titled “Power of one: Manchin is singularly halting Biden’s agenda,” states, “In an extraordinary display of political power in the evenly split 50-50 Senate, a single senator is about to seriously set back an entire presidential agenda.”
end quotes
As if a presidential agenda were anything other than that, i.e. an agenda.
Joe Biden has a huge socialist wishlist he wants the American people to have to pay for, when Joe is already making the cost of living too steep for many on fixed incomes, and the Senate is under no obligation to give goofy old Joe what he wants simply because he wants it, which takes us back to that story, to wit:
Manchin is solely responsible for stalling Biden’s spending bill only if you ignore more than half of the U.S. Senate.
Is there a good reason we’re pretending most senators don’t exist?
As if their votes apparently don’t matter and this is all on Manchin?
This feels less like a hard news report and more like regurgitated White House talking points designed to pressure a Democratic senator.
Wouldn’t we be shocked at that!
end quotes
Look, people, c’mon here, if the white house is paying these people to print news, shouldn’t they treat their sponsor kindly, and report what the white house wants reported?
Isn’t that the right thing to do?
Getting back to9 that story, we have:
“Manchin’s actions throw Democrats into turmoil at time when families are struggling against the prolonged COVID-19 crisis and Biden’s party needs to convince voters heading toward the 2022 election that their unified party control of Washington can keep its campaign promises,” ABC reports.
OK, it’s a little too obvious here, guys.
We get it.
The staff of ABC News really, really, really wants Manchin to be a good Democrat and push the bill over the top.
No, this isn’t news reporting.
This isn’t even a decent characterization of the current power struggle on Capitol Hill.
Remember: Manchin isn’t the only senator who’s withholding his vote.
There are 50 or 51 other lawmakers in his corner.
For that matter, this isn’t even a decent characterization of how the Senate works.
Manchin is in Congress’s upper chamber to represent the interests of his state.
He’s not there, as ABC suggests, to work for Biden — to shepherd the president’s domestic agenda through Congress.
There’s a reason the legislative branch is separate from the executive branch.
West Virginians happen to despise this president and his agenda.
Is Manchin really behaving that much out of character?
Manchin is doing his job.
Biden is doing his job.
They are separate jobs, and at times they are at odds.
This is how the relationship between the executive and the legislative branches works.
That Manchin and Biden have yet to find common ground on the spending bill isn’t some failure on the senator’s part.
If anything, it’s a failure on the president’s part.

AMEN!
Kudos, Washington Examiner!
Goofy old Joe had better get his political propaganda machine cranked up into hyperdrive as his approval ratings continue to plummet like a stone in freefall.
According to a USA TODAY story entitled “Biden faces lowest approval ratings yet in handling of inflation, COVID-19, gun violence” by Sarah Elbeshbishi on 12 December 2021, we have as follows:
As inflation continues to surge in the United States, Americans have named it their top concern, surpassing the pandemic.
The poll found that 28% of Americans approved of Biden’s handling of inflation, while a majority of Americans, at 69%, disapproved.
Biden has also seen a drop in approval rates in his handling of the economic recovery, with 41% of Americans approving his handling in December, compared to 47% back in October.
Disapproval rates of Biden’s handling of the economy jumped.
Fifty-seven percent of Americans surveyed disapproved of his handling of the economy, compared to the 53% in October.
The poll was conducted Dec.10-11, among a random sample of 524 Americans, with a margin of error of 5%.
end quotes
The 28% of Americans who approved of the goofball’s handling of inflation must be hardcore mindless Democrats, because who in their right mind, outside of those who make money off of usury, would approve of goofy old Joe’s handling of inflation?
In a CNBC article entitled “The latest sign of President Biden’s inflation politics problem comes from Main Street” by Eric Rosenbaum on December 7, 2021, we also have as follows on the rapidly failing presidency of progressive Democrat Joe Biden, as follows:
The politics of small business owners is similar to the politics of the majority of Americans in one major way: it’s become hyper-partisan.
But as President Joe Biden’s approval rating among entrepreneurs slips to an all-time low and Main Street confidence reverses to near its all-time low set in the first quarter of 2021 when Biden’s presidency began, it’s not only Republicans who are downbeat about the president’s handling of the economy.
The latest CNBC|Momentive Small Business Survey shows a decline in small business confidence and Biden’s approval rating, with respondents who identify as independents primarily responsible for the downshifting, and concerns about inflation a major influence over the data.
Inflation tops the list of concerns, with 34% of small business owners citing it as the biggest risk to their business, followed by supply chain disruptions (23%) and Covid (17%).
The survey was conducted by Momentive between November 10-16, 2021 among 2,078 self-identified small business owners, which was before news of the omicron variant.
Just 34% of small business owners now approve of the way Joe Biden is handling his job as president, down from 40% in Q3 (it had been 43% in Q1).
Most of that decrease was among independents: 33% now approve of Biden, down from 51% in Q3.
Among Republicans (9%) and Democrats (89%), there was minimal movement in approval quarter over quarter.
