In Cape Charles, Cela Burge secured the majority of votes to win a seat on the Cape Charles Town Council. Burge defeated Joan Natali and Herb Thom with 307 votes (Natali 114, Thom 75).

Well let’s see…..when Joan was on town council during the school debacle I was at many meetings. One in particular that I remember, Frank Wendell asked everyone on the council if anyone could answer which direction the front of the school faced. JOAN NATALIE screamed ” don’t answer that”. Why not you may wonder. Because a parking lot cannot be in front of a building being renovated with historic tax credits. J. David McCormack and friends actually changed the address so that they could have parking in front. Basically Joan told the council to lie! Need I say more?
